Joint Design of Improved Spectrum and Energy Efficiency With Backscatter NOMA for IoT

To develop emerging transmission techniques for potential applications of Internet Things (IoT), the system performance analysis a cognitive radio (CR)-enabled ambient backscatter (AmBC) will be studied in this paper with functionality non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). In proposed scheme, base station communicates two destinations via designated device. It is assumed that relay node fitted different interfaces and can simultaneously collect/decode received source signals. Such mechanism benefits to design various IoT as well wireless systems improved performance. exhibit metrics, outage probability ergodic capacity recipient nodes are derived analytically. Furthermore, it shown employing AmBC NOMA together CR secondary communication significantly improve overall network terms achievable throughput delay-limited delay-tolerant modes probability. Numerical results show that: 1) The spectrum efficiency by both techniques; 2) Compared orthogonal (OMA)-aided systems, considered relying on obtain better reliability whole range SNR; 3) There error floors high SNR regime due required target rates; 4) exists trade-off between devices power allocation coefficients associated NOMA; 5) We find energy factor evident further improvement such system.
